As a general health benefit, I decided to investigate fish oil supplements and stumbled upon these. The price was right so I figured I’d give them a try. The directions are to take one pill three times daily but I opted to take one pill twice a day. They are rather large but go down easily and don’t have any unpleasant smell or aftertaste so I was pleased thus far.
I wanted to write a review three days after I began taking these because I was amazed at their effect but I decided to wait longer just to make sure what I was experiencing wasn’t a fluke. All I can say is… wow! I’ve been taking these for almost a month now and I’m still so impressed with the completely unexpected results.
For two years, I’ve been suffering from joint and nerve pain in my shoulders and, as a result, sometimes in my upper arms. The pain began after a really bad pinched nerve in my neck (caused by my workstation setup) started affecting my shoulders and arms. The pain was so chronic and intense that it brought me to tears and it would often radiate all the way to my fingers, causing numbness and limiting my range of motion. Over time, the intensity of the pain lessened, thanks to muscle relaxants, chiropractic care and regular massage therapy. However, I was still left with discomfort in my shoulders that would occur when I would bend a certain way or when I would sleep on my side. The latter caused me to toss and turn throughout the night and wake up feeling exhausted, even after sleeping 8+ hours. I assumed it was just a part of aging and that I’d have to learn to live with the discomfort.
Well, here comes the part of the story that I, myself, even have a hard time believing. After three days of taking two fish oil capsules per day and making no other changes to my diet or regimen, I started waking up feeling completely refreshed. I passed it off as good fortune. Then I began noticing differences in my mobility. Twisting my arms to take laundry out of the dryer no longer hurt me. Strange, I thought. Then I realized that I could also reach behind my back MUCH further than before with absolutely no discomfort. My range of motion had almost completely returned! The final piece of the puzzle was when I realized that I was going to sleep on my side with either arm under my pillow and waking up in the very same position with absolutely no pain. This is why I was feeling more rested every morning!
Look – I’m no doctor but, without a doubt, I believe these fish oil capsules are the reason for the return of my mobility, the elimination of my nerve pain and for waking up energized! There is absolutely no other explanation for this rapid and unexpected improvement. Furthermore, I can eliminate the possibility of a placebo effect because I never took these for my nerve pain to begin with.
I obviously can’t say that these will have the same effect for others as they’ve had for me but I am completely sold on these supplements! My quality of life has been a thousand times better since I’ve been taking just two capsules a day and I plan on continuing this regimen for years to come. Thank you so much, Nature’s Bounty! I am a changed woman!
