Yay! I love this step stool. It was easy to assemble (no step by step instructions… It’s easy to put together either way)
The color is great! The size is perfect! And the top step is adjustable height depending on your needs.
I’m very happy with this … 5 stars!

I cannot review how this functions as a step stool. While the materials are solid and everything was packaged nicely, the bottom piece does not fit so assembly is not possible without modification.
The bottom step is supposed to insert into the side boards but it does not fit. As you can see in the photos the female slot is too wide and narrow and the screw holes do not line up.
This is not user (me) error. The bottom step and side panels are incompatible in their current state.

This is a gorgeous, beautifully made stool that is adjustable, stable, and solid! I found the instructions (“Manual”) for assembly to be not very helpful, but it was really very easy to assemble without them, other than using the picture to see which bolts went where.
When assembling it, I started by:
1: Putting the bolts into the holes on one (green) side piece, then laying that side down horizontally, with the bolts coming up through the holes I had chosen for the height I wanted.
2: Then I fit the two steps and the back bracing (3 wood pieces) vertically onto those bolts, with the picture as a guide.
3: Aligned the other green side onto those (horizontally) and started screwing the top bolts in (using the included Allen wrench), only partially tightening them until all were seated correctly, then tightened all, and flipped it over and tightened the bolts on the first (bottom) side.
It probably took 5-10 minutes, tops.
I did have 2 metal pieces leftover, (see photo with instructions) which I could not figure out where they go, and they don’t seem to fit in any of the pre-drilled holes. But the stool is definitely very sturdy and solid, so… 🤷♀️. (My husband and I both stepped up on it and we are WELL above the size and weight of any kids I’ve seen) 🤣
The workmanship and finishing on the stool is immaculate. It went together easily with all holes lined up precisely and all parts fitting together perfectly . The finishing is beautiful, silky smooth. This is the kind of stool my kindergarten-teacher Mom would have had in her classroom, and she was *very* picky about her classroom materials! It is absolutely made with kids in mind – with stability and safety being most important.
My picture of the stool is in the bathroom because it is SO perfect for that room. As adults we don’t usually think about this, but imagine how much harder it would be to use the toilet if you weren’t able to have your feet on the floor! Kids need something to put their feet down on as well, not only for better balance, but for being able to do what they need to do. ‘Nuff said. 😉
Really nice stool that I wish I’d had when my kids were little. But I’ve got it for the grandkids! 💕

This stool was easy to put together and seems really sturdy! Definitely worth the money.
Also, the big selling point for me is that it is adjustable! Having a fairly new construction house it seems like all the sinks are so much higher than they used to be. So they tend to be too high for kids to comfortably wash hands or brush teeth. The stool we have now is fine but my 7 year old is almost to the point where it is really too high but not using it is still a challenge for some things.
It comes with all the hardware and tools you need. It took me less than 10 minutes to put it together by myself.
A couple things to note: The “user manual” is one sheet of paper with a picture of the wooden pieces and that’s pretty much it. It doesn’t come with any instructions. BUT I thought it was pretty easy to figure out. However sometimes I question myself putting something together when they send extra hardware. There were some extra pieces but no inventory of how many you were supposed to have.
Also, the picture they show doesn’t actually have all of the screws in that you are supposed to use. The smallest wooden piece actually gets two screws per side.
See my photos for details of the manual, what hardware was included and what was left.

This still was a smart purchase. I was worried about it not being good quality and sturdy. We have 5 grandsons so I needed something that would hold up to them. This stool is very Sturdy, was easily put together and well worth the money. I could have went cheaper but in positive it would have been this nice.

“Nuvograin Toddler Step Stool,” is exactly what I needed for my kitchen. The stool is solid wood construction and, once assembled, is sturdy enough to hold my toddlers weight with ease. I like that the top step can be adjusted to 5 different levels. I chose to place it on the highest setting and it is a good height for my two year old to reach counter height. While the stool has a nice weight to it, it is light enough for my 2 year old to pick it up and move it where he wants it. Hopefully he will stop rearranging my chairs now.
The only thing that could be improved upon is the instructions. They are very minimalistic with only an unlabeled diagram. No words and no explanation regarding which of the two screw types to use. The design is simple enough and I’ve had experience with this type of item in the past, so assembly was simple but more clear instructions would be beneficial.
Overall, I am happy with this item! It serves its intended purpose well and provides my toddler a safe, sturdy way to reach the counter or refrigerator.

I use this in my kitchen to reach the taller cabinets above the counters. Works great!

First, I LOVE that it’s solid wood and not pressboard. Because of that, it’s heavy, so my toddler can’t lift it but they can push/pull it where they want it. The color is accurate to the listing and it took like a minute to assemble. I do also like that the top step is adjustable. The only thing is you can’t fold it but I’ll gladly sacrifice that for the sturdiness of it. Perfect for the bathroom so my child can get to the sink for washing.
