Mine is easy to fold up, unlike other reviews state. If the hinges stick just clean and use silicone spray lube but mine works fine. Heavy-duty construction compared to the smaller cheap models. Non-stick foot pads keep it safe in rainy weather. I use it to access the roof racks on my overlanding SUV. If it gets muddy, a quick rinse with water, and looks like new again.

I like the larger size and collapsing style. Very stable and strong with nonslip surface. I use it at the side entrance of my camper van – perfect height. I chose the black with light tan colored trim to provide contrast so I can avoid the edges when stepping on it in dark.

Love this folding stool! We needed a larger top than usual and this stool fits the need for a disabled person vehicle entry solution.
As others have reported, the joints are stiff and make folding and unfolding difficult for many, or even damaging if it is forced.
I researched several lubes and found this one which solves the problem completely without any issues with the plastic. Just be sure to spray all 9 joints inside and out so it gets into all the cracks of all the joints and work the folding and unfolding before it dries to make sure the lube material is in place. This *dry* lube is what I settled on after buying 3 different products to evaluate:

Don’t let the “sticky folding” issue scare you away, with this lube, the product is sturdy and well built… and EASY to fold and unfold. If you choose to use some other lube, then don’t blame the stool if it doesn’t work or causes plastic damage. The lube to use is a DRY lube- the liquid evaporates and leaves a white slippery coating inside the hinge joints.
Bottom line, this stool is the answer if you need a larger area on top for safety and stability. It has worked well for us, every time.
UPDATE: It has now been two months since I got this stool, I have only dry-lubed al the joints ONCE, and it is still folding and unfolding easily. I can tell it is just barely detectably less smooth than from the initial lubing, so may hit it with lube again in a few months, but still very easily folds and unfolds.

Really like this! Easy to use, easy to fold up and takes up little space. Very sturdy, doesn’t wobble and easy to pick up and move with me. Very light weight which is great for little ones to use all by them sales.

This step is very sturdy and several reviewers said it was hard to fold. We’ve used this on a few Camping trips already and would not leave without it!
This one is easy to fold and can be put away for easily. It is very sturdy and will hold up to 250 lbs, no problem at all. Highly recommend for anyone that needs that extra step up, without having to worry if you’ll fall off, or if it will collpase on you! This is a very well made product! We will be getting another one as a back up. Do yourself a favor an purchase one.

Step is a bit high but extremely sturdy.

I’ve tried numerous ways of entering the side door of my Chevy express camper conversion and finally found the right one. It’s stable on uneven ground, durable, non slip surface, the perfect height, easy to pick up, folds flat in one motion for storage, and rain/ snow will not harm it. Love it!

I really should have gotten one of these a long time ago. I’m short (5’2″) and I often have trouble reaching for things at my place like changing a lightbulb, putting/getting something on the top shelf. I have an actual step ladder which I store on my balcony. But I keep this folded on my broom closet, which is a lot more convenient and accessible. I literally use this at least a few time a week to check ony plants on the top shelf.

This little stool is very sturdy, is very light, and folds into a very small footprint. We have one for our Jeep Wrangler to help my wife get in and out. She has an artificial hip and suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, so the Jeep is a long step for her. This does the trick. We also have one for our RV that I use when sitting to hook up water, sewer, electrical, etc. That is much easier on this old man’s knees. The small size lets me just throw it in the back floorboard of the Jeep after my wife gets in, then just pop it back out when she wants to exit. The RV stool does not take up much precious external storage space. The nonskid surface gives my wife confidence, yet is not uncomfortable when I sit on it.
This is a great product.

robuste mais est difficile à replier , aussi la surface antidérapante ne tient plus en place (après quelques mois d’utilisation)

I decided to take on a small project; converting a 5′ x 12′ enclosed cargo trailer to make it a 1-2 man camper. It needed a small step to gain entrances/ exit, so I considered a permanent, mounted step vs. a small, portable step like this one. I opted for portable just in case I might find other uses for it. I was surprised at how sturdy and stable this step feels. Just hope the composite material holds up over time, but for now this was a perfect solution. This step worked out great and I would buy one again. Well worth the cost.

Exactly what I needed

This is the real deal for an RV step. It is made very solidly, the top is large and is non-slip. I have been RVing for 50 years and I know the value of a safe and solid step when I get out of my RV in the rain and on uneven surfaces. A fall is never a good idea!! This step is also priced very well.
