Potty training is not for the faint of heart, but the Primlect 2-in-1 potty training seat is the kind of small parenting win that deserves a standing ovation—or at least a self-standing seat.
Assembly:
Bless whoever wrote the instructions. Clear, simple, and no Allen wrench-induced rage. I had it set up in minutes, no power tools or bribes required.
Design & Usability:
It’s lightweight but sturdy—my 2-year-old can move it from the toilet to the sink all by herself, which she now insists on doing like it’s a full-time job. It gives her that “I do it!” independence while keeping my floors dry and my back unbent.
Bonus Feature I Didn’t Know I Needed:
It stands on its own. Yes. No tipping, no sliding, no awkward leaning-against-the-wall-then-clattering-to-the-floor-at-2am surprises. I have another brand that constantly flops over like a bored toddler—this one stays put and behaves better than most of my furniture.
Bottom line:
If you’re in the potty training trenches and want something functional, easy to clean, kid-movable, and miraculously self-standing, this seat is it. No sliding, no drama, and no “Mommm it feeeeelllll!” in sight.

I really like how you can fold it and it doubles as a step stool for washing hands after. It’s very sturdy and light weight. My toddler can move it himself. The seat is comfortable and not plastic. You can adjust the steps to whatever height for child needs to reach the toilet or sink.

I’m so happy with this purchase. We had a different one that only had two legs and had a little bit more of a back with a character face on the back. I thought that would be helpful. Initially it was, but then I learned that if a toddler’s feet don’t touch a ground surface, they are not as steady, and so not as likely to be able to elicit the muscles needed to poop. So I Jerry-rigged the other potty seat so my daughter’s feet would touch the little foot rest. Worked great until one time she tried standing on my improvised surface. … so glad I was in the room! If I hadn’t grabbed her the two legged potty seat would have sent her head first into the floor!!!
So I bought this potty seat. It is so sturdy. The foot rest actually does have two heights. Which is awesome! I currently have it at the higher setting. My daughter is 4 & 1/2 years old. So she still has room to grow into it! Also love that this seat will fit on both standard height toilets And chair height! For our standard height toilet, we leave the adult toilet seat down and this seat fits right on top. We also have a chair height American Standard toilet and this potty seat fits on top of that toilet seat as well, but you can also put it on the toilet bowl. I prefer the seat, because that toilet is elongated, so the front nose of it sticks out from between my daughter’s legs and I prefer her not having access to touch the toilet bowl.
The stool is sturdy enough for my 35 lb child to stand safely.
It is very east to pick up and move when an older sibling needs the toilet. I can carry both the stool and my daughter down the stairs at the same time.
This potty seat gets my highest recommendation. Thank you immensely to the designers and developers. Thumbs up for the manufacturer as well. All parts were present and the instructions for construction were very simple. No tools needed they provide the “coin” to use for securing the bolts.

Sturdy and fairly compact. The slip resistant pads underneath the toilet to have more grip on them but other than that…. It gets the job done for my toddler.

We’re just starting to introduce the potty to our 15-month-old, and so far it’s going really well! He loves climbing up and down, which makes him feel independent and excited about using it. The seat feels sturdy and safe, and the size is perfect for little ones just getting acclimated.
We haven’t started full potty training yet, but this seat is a great way to get him familiar and comfortable. Highly recommend for parents easing their toddlers into potty training!

Received the potty trainer today and we’re very happy with our purchase! Our little one was so excited about it too that’s why she’s in the pic lol. Very easy to put together (had it put together in less than 10 minutes if that)! Love the coin that’s included to tighten everything, neat touch! It’s perfect height for our toilet and her. It’s surprisingly sturdy and slip resistant. Folds up easily and light enough that it’s easy for our little one to move it around. She loves that she can use it at the sink to wash her hands or brush her teeth. The purple is even prettier in person. Great price too, totally worth every penny! What we really love is it’s making our little girlie feel more comfortable and secure going potty! O and the little seat is padded for comfort (hubby & I joked that it’s better than our toilet seat, jealous, lol) Easy and convenient so we Highly recommend! 💯
