I have taken a number of calcium supplements, vetted for high quality, and a daily regimen of magnesium in 2 bioavailable forms (topical magnesium chloride and oral high-absorption magnesium), full spectrum (MK4 and MK7) Vitamin K2, Vitamin D3 and activated silicon, all to help my body absorb the calcium and ensure it goes where it should be instead of building up as plaque where I don’t want it. I have a health issue that requires I get plenty of calcium in addition to the general necessity for women in particular.
Until I started taking this supplement from Pure Micronutrients, my calcium issue persisted despite my consistent efforts. It’s now gone, completely.
I usually hesitate to leave a glowing review for something I’m going to keep buying probably forever, because of a likely price increase. But if this helps someone else find the right supplement they need for their health then I’ll say: I believe everyone should be taking this supplement.
It does have a good, bioavailable form of magnesium, as well as K2 and D3, but I still take a little extra of those 3 each day along with some form of dietary fat since the K and D are only soluble in that. I also only take this calcium supplement with some dietary fat because of the K2 and D3 in it. Anything that vegetable oil can be made from will do, nuts, seeds, etc.; you don’t have to consume animal fat for this purpose.
The pills are large and difficult to swallow; I can usually take 2 sizeable capsules or large tablets of other supplements or medications at the same time. This is the first pill that I have difficulty swallowing. I usually manage the first one ok but the second one is sometimes a problem. Normally I would deduct a point for this but considering how miraculous this supplement has been for me, I’m not going to. If you have trouble swallowing pills, it’s worth it to grind or cut these or otherwise solve the issue. I have a cheapo pill splitter but these pills are so wide in the middle I’m not going to chance them in it.
If you do take additional magnesium, stay away from magnesium oxide. You’re able to absorb almost no magnesium from it. Magnesium chloride is the most bioavailable form but it can only be used topically instead of orally, which I highly recommend doing. You need it for so many bodily functions and it can reach many parts of your body via absorption through your skin. Our diets are severely lacking in it especially compared to our ancestors, due to modern farming efficiency practices. You can even use the stuff as an antiperspirant, which I do. Despite looking like a dainty little thing I sweat like a barbarian unless I use this or only one antiperspirant that is effective for me (Certain Dri). Magnesium chloride is much healthier than the aluminum found in many deodorants and antiperspirants.
Update 13 March 2025: I still use this calcium supplement from Pure Micronutrients, I still find it completely effective and highly recommend it.

Great supplement. My only complaint is that I emailed them quite a few times regarding if the quantity of the calcium is Elemental and they have ignored all my emails…..
Update – 22nd Sept, 2024 – I started experiencing pains in my stomach when I started this but didn’t connect it to this supplement. I persevered with it for a few months and my pains got so bad that I needed an endoscopy. They thought I had H.Pylori but I didn’t. My Gastroenterologist then asked if I was taking a Calcium supplement and which one and I said yes. Apparently many people cannot take Phosphorus ( which is sometimes included in a Calcium supplement) as it may cause a Duodenal Ulcer and/or other gut issues and that is exactly what happened to me. Well, hundreds of dollars later and a course of anti-inflammatory’s it has gotten better. I’ve now stopped taking it and have learned a very valuable lesson.
I’m not saying this isn’t a good Calcium supplement, it may be for many people but sadly not for me….

I’ve been looking for the right calcium supplement for a while now, especially as I’m going through menopause and bone health has become a bigger priority for me. I’ve tried other supplements, but none have felt as complete or easy on my body as this one! Pure Micronutrients’ Bone Support has been a game-changer for my overall bone strength and energy levels.
What I love about this supplement is that it’s not just calcium—it’s got everything you need for proper absorption and bone health, like Magnesium, Vitamin D3, K2, and Zinc. The combo of Calcium Citrate and Hydroxyapatite means it’s highly absorbable, and I can feel the difference. My joints feel less achy, and I have more energy throughout the day. Plus, knowing I’m taking care of my bone density gives me peace of mind for the long term.
One of the biggest issues I’ve had with other calcium supplements is how rough they can be on my stomach, but this one is so gentle! No more digestive discomfort or bloating like I’ve experienced in the past. I can take it daily without any issues.
And let’s talk about the pill itself—finally, a calcium pill that’s easy to swallow! Yes, the tablets are big, but so are most calcium pills on the market. These tablets have an added coating making them smooth, and I’ve had no trouble at all taking them, which is such a relief because I usually dread big chalky pills.
Overall, I feel stronger and more balanced, which is so important during this phase of life. I highly recommend it to any woman who’s looking for a comprehensive, effective solution for bone health. I’m sticking with this one for the long haul!

When my Dr told me I needed to take 1,000 mg Calcium and 2,000 iu Vitamin D, I compared a lot of products and chose this one. According to what I read, this one has a lot of the ingredients that help with the absorption of the Calcium, so I thought that sounded good. But it only had half the Vitamin D I needed, so I take another Vitamin D supplement that I cut into 250 iu increments (1/4 tablet).
While this tablet (and my other Vitamin D supplement) have raised my blood calcium level to where it ought to be, I did learn some things the hard way though, because the label instructions are incomplete.
Your body can only absorb 500 mg of calcium per sitting, so while the daily dosage is 4 tablets, two are taken in the morning, and two at night. (And I took 1/4 Vitamin pill with each am and pm Calcium dose).
But! If you are taking any other medication, you should take it either 2 hours before taking a Calcium-Vitamin D combo supplement or 4-6 hours afterwards, so that there is no interference with the absorption of the calcium or other meds. By doing this, it also greatly reduces the chance of side effects that may be magnified if you were to take all of the pills at the same time! Trust me, that was a painful lesson! Pure micronutrients should add the warning to their label instructions.

I really liked the composition of this product, very good combination of minerals. I take a vitamin complex with water-soluble vitamins in the morning on an empty stomach, then after breakfast I take fat-soluble vitamins, and this complex I take after dinner 2 tablets. For me, a product like this is a lifesaver, as I could not find something similar in terms of mineral composition. The pills are large, but should be no problem for an adult, the pills have no flavor whatsoever. I recommend it!
