   These were recommended by someone, I am waiting for a knee and hip replacement. I was unable to lift my leg and had to put my pants on the floor to step into them….. I have been taking these for just over a month and can lift my legs up now and can get into my clothes the regular way that everyone else does now. I am totally amazed at how they have helped me, I drive a stick shift and had to lift my leg up with my hands in order to get my foot on the clutch, don’t have to do that anymore. I feel like I am getting better everyday since I started taking them. It took about 3 weeks before I noticed the change.

   If your knees or elbows hurt but you haven’t developed full-blown arthritis yet, this stuff is worth a try. Don’t expect instant relief though because this isn’t a regular pain reliever, but if you’ll give it 2 or 3 weeks, you can get the relief without the side effects. It supposedly helps to prevent long-term joint damage, but like all dietary supplements, the research is sketchy and anecdotal. Google it for yourself if you want the information, but it works for me, and that’s the anecdotal evidence that I need.

   My fear is losing the last hip standing because I’m all bone on bone everywhere. I believe this product helps me do that and has for 5 years (minus one in the middle). There are other options out there, but I trust this one. Some might be better, but I can’t chance finding out. I know the company that makes these as I used to work there and research ingredients.

   What I also know is that I took a chance with a gummy for a year and my remaining cartilage for one hip just disappeared and the other thinned horrendously fast. Not so with this product. I trust it.

   I don’t know if I can speak on the pain relief issue, per se, but I’d say yes, it does make a difference after only a couple of days if I forget to take this pill. My hips are much more painful if I forget. I don’t know if that counts as pain relief in the traditional sense. I don’t believe the pill gets rid of any pain, only prevents more of it.

   I have been taking this for several years now and it’s amazing. I no longer have any hip joint pains. I had bursitis in my hip at an early age and as I grew older it started hurting again. A friend recommended this product and within a month the pain was gone and it has never recurred. That was about 10 years ago. After I took the recommended dose for a few months, I cut back to 1 per day and that is still what I take. I had no side effects from it but my husband had stomach issues and switched to just Glucosamine and it is helping him with knee pain. This brand is what I always buy as it was the first I tried that did so well.

   This is one of the few brands of Glucosamine / Chondroitin that does not contain a source of Bromine, as far as I can tell. Many of the ones on the shelf in my local pharmacies contain bromate relate ingredients, as some people consider bromine to be a bone and connective tissue healing nutrient. When I purchase this stuff, I am after Chondroitin, and do not want a single drop of bromine in my body. I avoid Mountain Dew because of the Brominated Vegetable Oil, so why would I want to eat bromine in the form of a supplement? When I started taking Glucosamine / Chondroitin supplements, bromine wasn’t a common ingredient, so I’m sad that I am force to be so careful which one I buy, and this happens to be the brand I choose to buy. Five stars for having additives I don’t mind as much as the ones in the store.
