Pure Encapsulations Calcium is a fantastic product. Yes, they are more expensive than many other vitamin and supplement brands, but for some things I don’t mind paying more. There are many reasons why paying more makes sense.
First, they are pharmaceutical grade products. Pharmaceutical grade products are defined as: A pharmaceutical-grade compound (PGC) is defined as “any active or inactive drug, biologic or reagent, for which a chemical purity standard has been established by a recognized national or regional pharmacopeia (e.g., the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).” This is also followed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). PGC means hgher purity and quality, better absorption, rigorous testing standards, and more reliable dosages. What does this product have none off of–binders and fillers.
Secondly, it’s beneficial to spread calcium doses out through the day especially as you get older. It’s easier on your kidneys and less likely to contribute to kidney stone formation and things like gas and bloating when taken this way. More importantly, your body can only absorb so much CA at a time. When you take a mega dose, you’re likely to just pee out anything over 500 mg. By spreading out the dosage you get maxium absorption.
Soooo, if you’re a woman and over 51 you should be getting at least 1,200 mg of calcium a day. Yes, that means you need to remember to take this product four times a day. To me, it’s worth it.

Fine, not to expensive. 300 could be not enough if you have lots of gaps in your diet. (Orange juice, yogurt, milk, kale etc.)
Most importantly:
Get MK-7 (K2 vitamin) and D3. It aids to avoid calcifying your arteries which can cause more troubles than good in long run.
Thanks.

I’ve been using Pure Encapsulations Calcium (Citrate) for a while, and it seems to be a high-quality supplement. The capsules are easy to swallow, and I appreciate that they contain calcium citrate, which is known for better absorption compared to other forms.
There are no unnecessary additives, which is a big plus for me. I haven’t had any stomach issues taking these, even on an empty stomach. While it’s hard to measure the direct effects, I feel confident in the brand’s reputation and the quality of the ingredients.
Overall, if you’re looking for a simple, clean calcium supplement, this is a solid choice!

Am on my second reorder of this product so I am adequately satisfied with it, mainly because it contains calcium and little else. No magnesium or other cheap fillers. Although the bottle is large, you have to take two caps twice a day to get to 600 mg. I don’t mind. Get the rest of my calcium from yogurt and kefir. Yes I would recommend.

Fast absorption is a must for me . These are much easier to swallow than most others. This order I got a 3 month supply

I’ve been ordering this calcium citrate for a few years now for my mom. She swears by this brand and specific product. I’ve tried several times to switch her over several times to other brands and calcium supplements but in the end, she keeps coming back to this one. She says she physically notices the difference this supplement makes for her with all the physical labor she does on the farm. When she consistently takes this supplement, her arms, shoulders, and fingers don’t hurt or have their aching pain. I have her take this supplement with another MK2 and vitamins D3 for the calcium to be effective. She really also likes this calcium citrate supplement since it doesn’t make her stomach hurt (she has stomach ulcers). The only complaint she has is how big the pills are but given how effective this product is for her, it’s worth it.

I really appreciate the purity and quality of this calcium citrate supplement from Pure Encapsulations. The brand has a great reputation for clean formulations, and this one lives up to it—no unnecessary fillers or additives, which gives me peace of mind. The capsules are easy to swallow and gentle on my stomach, unlike some other calcium supplements I’ve tried in the past. I feel confident knowing I’m supporting my bone and overall health with a product that’s both effective and trustworthy.
